Universities’ tuition, fees at forefront of upcoming regents’ meeting

The three state universities’ tuition and fee recommendations—and how each institution will approach anticipated state budget cuts—will be considered by the Arizona Board of Regents at its next regularly scheduled public meeting.

The board will meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 7, and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

The board will set tuition and fees for the three state universities for the 2011-12 academic year, in addition to differential tuition, residence hall rates and financial aid policy.

The board also will elect officers for one-year terms to begin July 1.
