Trombone quartet to bring brassy opening to Horizons Concert Series

The Guidonian HandThe School of Music’s fall Horizons Concert Series kicks off with a New York City-based trombone quartet, The Guidonian Hand, performing at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in Ashurst Hall.

The leading modern trombone quartet traces the evolution of minimalism and has been acclaimed by the New York Times for its “expertly played” performances displaying “meaty lower brass textures.”

Individual tickets for the Horizons Concert Series are $20 for adults, $12.50 for seniors and NAU faculty and staff, and free for children ages 17 and younger and NAU students with an ID. Tickets are available by calling (928) 523-5661, or toll free (888) 520-7214. Or purchase them online.
