Several campus services will observe special schedules throughout December and the university winter closure.
The university will close for the winter holiday break beginning Monday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Jan. 2, reopening on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. The official paid holidays are Dec. 26, 27 and Jan. 2. While NAU will also be closed on Dec. 28, 29 and 30, these are not paid holidays. Information on documenting employee time off during the holiday break is on the Human Resources web site.
The NAU Post Office will be closed Dec. 26, 27 and Jan. 2, and open from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 28, 29 and 30. Regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will resume on January 3, 2017. During the winter closure, the postal service will make limited deliveries and pickups. If your department requires mail delivery during this time, please notify Susan Maestas at (928) 523-1135 by Dec. 16. Campus Recreation Services will operate with adjusted hours Dec. 12 through Jan. 17. The recreation center will be closed weekends Dec. 17 through Jan. 8. A complete schedule of operating hours can be found online. The Wall Aquatic Center will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12-16 and Jan. 2-15. The WAC will be closed Dec. 17 through Jan. 1.
The NAU Bookstore will have adjusted hours Dec. 19-25. The store will be closed weekends and be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m Monday through Friday. From Dec. 26 through Jan. 8., the store will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and be closed Saturday through Monday. Starting Jan. 9, the store will resume normal weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Cline Library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19 through Friday, Dec. 23. The library will be closed Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday, Jan. 2. A detailed schedule can be found on the Cline Library website.
The ITS Solution Center and Student Technology Center will operate on a modified schedule Dec. 16 through Jan. 17, and will be closed Dec. 17, 18, 24, 25, 26, 27 and Jan. 2. Hours of operation for all ITS departments is available online.
