  • Melinda Smith, graduate research assistant and doctoral student in interdisciplinary health, was selected to be part of the Tribal Researchers’ Cancer Control Fellowship Program (TRCCFP). Smith is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and will attend a two-week cancer control research training in the summer, followed by a one-week training in the fall. TRCCFP is supported by the Northwest Native American Research Centers for Health program, Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board and Oregon Health and Science University Prevention Research Center.
