Learn how to be healthier from experts during a daylong event of free fitness activities at the NAU Recreation Center on Thursday, Feb. 19.
From fitness and sports to nutrition, the center is celebrating the annual National Intramural-Recreation Sports Association Sports and Fitness Day with free fitness assessments and activities open to NAU faculty, staff and students.
Aimed at teaching people how to live a healthier lifestyle, entrance to the center is free and both group and individual activities will be available.
“From fitness assessments conducted by our personal trainers to spine screenings, this is a great day to come in and check out all we have to offer,” said Molly Mulligan, NAU fitness intern. “Physical activity is part of a balanced lifestyle, and we provide many options to benefit your mind and body.”
Activities include free entrance to the Rec Center, an incentive program sign-up, group exercise classes and more. The rock climbing wall also will be open for free climbing from 7 to 10 p.m.
From 5 to 7 p.m., the Recreation Center will host information tables about:
