Christian Downum, NAU professor of anthropology, will sign copies of Hisat’sinom Ancient Peoples in a Land without Water from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the NAU Bookstore.
In the book, archaeologists explain how the people of Wupatki, Walnut Canyon, and Montezuma’s Castle flourished despite living in a place with very little water amid extremes of heat and cold.
The event is free and open to the public. For information, call (928) 523-4041.
