The Commission on the Status of Women is sponsoring a workshop on “Sexual Assault: A Report on Our Community’s Efforts and Challenges” presented by the Northern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault.
Program coordinator Jessica Pope will discuss how the center is a safe place for victims age 16 and older to seek help for sexual violence. It offers specially trained nurses to provide on-site care and forensic examinations following an assault. Participants also will learn about the community’s efforts to provide these resources.
This free discussion is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 1 in room 200 of the Cline Library.
