Paul Donnelly, interim chair of comparative cultural studies, will speak on “Beyond Shangri-la: Understanding Tibetan Culture” at a free public seminar at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, in the du Bois Center Fremont Room.
The seminar is the first in a series that address issues of importance in Tibetan refugee settlements. The series is part of the Mainpat Interdisciplinary Global Learning Project at Northern Arizona University, which is addressing the needs of the isolated Mainpat refugee settlement through an international, interdisciplinary and faculty-led study abroad project.
