Northern Arizona University’s School of Art is presenting its annual Spring 2021 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition in the Beasley Gallery. The exhibition is a longstanding tradition that showcases the work of graduating seniors. This year, the gallery opens online on April 16, and limited in-person showings are available by appointment from April 12-30.
The School of Art’s mission is to contribute to a better world through creative education. It is nationally recognized for excellence in studio arts, interior design and art education. The studio-based approach to research and teaching brings disciplines together to explore problems in new ways that seek innovative solutions.
The Beasley Gallery features rotating exhibitions and showcases graduating students’ exhibitions, which allows students to experience what it’s like to show art.
The graduating students presenting artwork are Ashlyn Alvarado, Kaya Dean, Devany Dellis, Jacob Honn, Rachael Howard, Kelsey Sullivan, Adrianna Vasquez Melero and Bethany Watts-Cruz. They all have completed four years of intensive artistic and critical development.
The gallery will be available for viewing through the student gallery on the School of Art’s webpage. To schedule an appointment to visit the gallery, contact senior lecturer of art Christopher Taylor by emailing Christopher.Taylor@nau.edu. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Performing and Fine Arts building on NAU’s campus. To stay up-to-date on the gallery’s events, follow it on Instagram and Facebook.
