Public hearing scheduled for transit project

A public hearing is scheduled to present the environmental components of the planned Mountain Links project, a transit route connecting downtown Flagstaff to the Northern Arizona University campus and south to Woodlands Village Boulevard.

The Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation Agency—or NAIPTA—will host the hearing from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8, in the Drury Inn, Kendrick/Sycamore rooms, on the southeast corner of Butler and Milton.

The hearing will be the best opportunity to learn about the environmental studies performed as part of the project. Public comments can be written or recorded at the hearing. Comments also can be submitted through July 23 by telephone, letter or e-mail.

To provide input, visit NAIPTA Mountain Links or call the Mountain Links Hotline at (928) 328-1536.
