Prominent Irish barrister to present on innocence projects

Irish barrister David LangwallnerThe founder of the Irish Innocence Project will speak at Northern Arizona University as part of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice Ladhoff Lecture Series.

David Langwallner, dean of law at Griffith University Law School in Dublin, will present “The Internationalization of Innocence: Common Legal and Constitutional Themes that Unite Innocence Projects” from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Building–West, Room 200. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Langwallner, a graduate of Trinity College Dublin Law School, lectures in constitutional law and jurisprudence and tutors administrative law and judicial review. He is also the director of the Irish Innocence Project.
