The NAU Symphony Orchestra and Shrine of the Ages Choir join forces with the Master Chorale of Flagstaff to perform Brahms’ German Requiem at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium.
This monumental piece plunges the depths of life, death and redemption, with a degree of power and profundity that only Brahms can achieve.
The performance will feature soprano and NAU alumna Lynn Norris and baritone Steven Meredith.
This will serve as maestro Daniel O’Bryant’s inaugural choral-orchestral performance at NAU since his 2013 appointment as NAU’s director of orchestras.
Both Shrine of the Ages and Master Chorale of Flagstaff choirs were prepared under the direction of NAU Regent’s Professor and director of choral studies Edith Copley.
Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for faculty, staff and seniors. Students with a valid NAU ID and children ages 17 and younger are free. For advance tickets, call (928) 523-5661, toll free (888) 520-7214, or purchase online at nau.edu/cto or go to the Central Ticketing Office in the University Union.
