NPR’s morning host to take NAU audience behind the scenes

Professor Montagne

The host and director of NPR’s Morning Edition are coming to campus to discuss what happens behind the scenes at a national news program.

Program host Renee Montagne and program director Ellen McDonnell will present at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the High Country Conference Center. The event is part of KNAU’s 25th anniversary celebration.

They will discuss the election, how editorial decisions are made and how it is a “daily miracle” to produce a national news program.

Morning Edition airs 6 to 9 a.m. weekdays with a listening audience of 13 million people per week.

Tickets are available at any Ticketmaster location or through the NAU Central Ticketing Office at (928) 523-5661 and are $8 for the public and $3.50 for students. The first 100 students to pick up tickets will get them free.
