A community-wide preparedness fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Northern Arizona University.
The preparedness fair will offer information to help individuals and families prepare for emergencies at home and at work. Participants will learn how to create a disaster plan, build an emergency preparedness kit and get involved in their community’s emergency preparedness activities. Classes will be held throughout the day covering subjects such as Skywarn severe weather identification and reporting, financial and consumer preparedness, building a disaster supply kit, amateur radio and more.
The fair is free and open to the public and will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the NAU du Bois Center, building 64. View a campus map here. Parking in the surrounding lots is free for the event. For information, contact Marc Burdiss.
