Watch more than 2,500 high school students from around the Southwest march into the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome for the annual Northern Arizona University Band Day. Each high school band will perform and compete for a spot in the Arizona State Marching Band Championships.
The bands will be awarded rankings or ratings from the Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association (ABODA) judges. The awards ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. with a performance from the Lumberjack Marching Band.
NAU Band Day will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 20 in the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome. This event is free for NAU students, staff and faculty. General admission is $12 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and children. To purchase tickets go to the Central Ticketing Office in the University Union or visit the CTO website.
