A musical and culinary feast to benefit NAU Opera will be presented Jan. 31 on the Ardrey Auditorium stage.
NAU Opera’s “If Music Be the Food of Love” will feature appetizers followed by a four-course dinner with wine.
The gourmet meal will be accompanied by performances from NAU School of Music faculty members Deborah Raymond, Judith Cloud, Ricardo Pereira, Robert Allen Saunders, Margaret Gunderson, Rita Borden and Nando Schellen and select NAU Opera students.
Scenes from The Magic Flute, Die Fledermaus and Salome, among others, will be presented as students serve the meal. Raymond will make a genuine Julia Child chocolate cake while singing Bon Appétit!, a musical version of the recipe.
Tickets are $150 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight. The reservation deadline has been extended to Jan. 24. For tickets, call (928) 523-7189.
