Michel Martin, a renowned journalist, will speak at Northern Arizona University as part of the annual Ted Johnson Lecture Series. The event will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Prochnow Auditorium. The Ted Johnson Lecture Series is held each year during Black History Month to honor NAU’s first black faculty member, and this year’s lecture will focus on today’s political terrain leading into the 2020 elections.
Martin has been a journalist for 25 years contributing to many organizations, including ABC News, Nightline, Washington Post and more. Currently, she is the weekend host of All Things Considered at NPR, where she draws on her deep reporting and interviewing experience to dig into the week’s news.
