The NAU Lyric Theater presents “Love is a Plaintive Song: Musical Group Therapy,” which explores how isolated individuals can find strength through each other in overcoming the many obstacles in life and love.
The light-hearted, touching story features music by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lerner and Loewe, Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz and many more. More than 25 School of Music students are involved in the production and are accompanied on the piano by Director of Lyric Theater Eric Gibson and collaborative piano student Jeanette Evins.
Performances take place in Kitt Recital Hall:
- 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22
- 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23
- 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24
Tickets can be purchased through the Central Ticket Office. Prices are $15 for adults and $10 for NAU faculty, staff and seniors (65 and over). NAU and CCC students are free with a valid student ID.
