LOUIE, Northern Arizona University’s student information system, will be upgraded from the current 9.0 version to the latest 9.2 version during the weekend of Oct. 11-14. Moving to the latest version of LOUIE provides NAU with exciting new features and extends support on day-to-day critical operations for staff, faculty and students.
How will LOUIE be different after the upgrade? There will be some minor look and feel changes (color schemes, look of buttons, etc.), but there will be no major differences. However, the upgrade does provide NAU with new tools that can enhance the user experience on “self-service” features for students, faculty and staff. In spring, these tools will be reviewed to determine when and how LOUIE might receive a facelift. Visit the project website for more details on the upgrade.
During the upgrade, several systems will be unavailable to users throughout the weekend. Unavailable programs include LOUIE (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) and the Human Resources application (PeopleSoft Human Capital Management, or HCM). During the upgrade, the PeopleSoft Financials (FMS) system will be down temporarily on Sunday, Oct. 13, but will remain available for the majority of the LOUIE upgrade weekend. For additional information on system availability and how you may be impacted, please visit the “Go-Live” Weekend information website.
