A sure sign that the fall semester is in full swing is the annual welcome back picnic for students, faculty and staff.
The free picnic is planned for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the quad area between Aspen Crossing and Wilson Hall. NAU administrators will serve hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chips and cookies. Alumni Relations staff will keep the crowd cool with free ice cream.
The popular dunk tanks will make another appearance, offering the opportunity to douse NAU coaches and administrators.
The picnic is part of the Welcome Week festivities, which give students the chance to explore so much of what the university has to offer. More than 100 events are planned to welcome back students for the new academic year, including concerts, fitness classes, athletic events and more.
