NAU Athletics will host a youth sports symposium in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Rolle Activity Center.
The event is free to girls in the first through eighth grades and requires pre-registration online.
NAU student-athletes and coaches from the soccer, volleyball and golf teams will teach sport-specific skills and participants will learn about healthy eating, strength and conditioning. All participants will receive a T-shirt, sack pack, pre-game meal and free admission to the women’s basketball game.
The NAU women’s basketball team takes on Sacramento State at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Skydome. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for guests accompanying symposium participants. Game tickets are available online.
