- The international chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Sisterhood awarded Michelle Richter, a doctoral student in NAU’s College of Arts and Letters, an International Peace Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year worth $12,500. PEO awards scholarships to graduate-level women demonstrating academic excellence to help them pursue their studies in the United States or Canada.
- The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication honored a team of professors and graduate students from NAU’s School of Communication with a top paper award in its teaching and pedagogy competition. The winning paper, titled “Enhancement or Replacement: Impact of Experiential Teaching Interventions of Generative AI on Students’ Literacy and Critical Thinking,” was authored by professors of practice Janice Sweeter and Amy Hitt, former NAU associate professor Jiun-Yi Tsai and graduate students Martine Follestad-Jutilla and Claire Ewert.
