Horizons Concert Series presents the sounds of spring with ‘The Birds and the Bees’

As part of the 2018-19 Horizons Concert Series, Jeffrey Swann & Friends invite concert-goers to experience the nature-inspired music of renowned composers Gustav Mahler, Joseph Haydn, João Guilherme Ripper and Olivier Messiaen in the program “The Birds and the Bees.” This performance takes place 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, in Kitt Recital Hall.

Sopranos Christine Graham and Deborah Raymond, pianists Rita Borden and Michelle Wachter, oboist Rebecca Kemper Scarnati and clarinetist Cris Inguanti join pianist Jeffrey Swann in musical evocations of the natural environments of Austria, Brazil and France.

Entry to the Horizon Concert Series is $22.50 for adults and $15 for seniors and NAU employees. Admission is free for children and NAU students with ID. To purchase tickets, visit the Central Ticket Office in the University Union, go to nau.edu/cto or call (928) 523-5661. A $2 CTO fee will be added to tickets purchased at the door.

Free parking for the event is available in Lot P13 behind Kitt Hall, provided by the College of Arts and Letters.
