NAU School of Communication and Cinema and Visual Culture Studies will host the Manhattan Short film festival at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Cline Library Assembly Hall.
Ten short films were selected as finalists for the festival and will be shown this week in 203 cities across six continents. Global audiences come together to judge the films, selected from 440 entries from 43 countries. A winner will be announced Oct. 3 in New York City.
Countries represented this year include Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Croatia, Ireland, Mexico, France, Poland and Italy in what festival organizers describe as the “United Nations of film festivals.”
