After last year’s record-breaking crowd of 425 employees, Employee Development Day is back to further advance employees’ skills both in and out of the office. A variety of personal and professional development workshops will be taught by NAU faculty and staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 23. Sessions will be held in The W. A. Franke College of Business, Rolle Activity Center and SBS Castro buildings.
The event, “Pathway to Excellence: Develop U,” will offer 60-minute courses throughout the day on more than 40 topics. The classes repeat in the morning and afternoon.

- What is Personalized Learning at NAU?
- Empathy Fatigue Solution
- Creating Assistive Technology Friendly Documents
- Got Stress?
- The Psycho-Somatics of Confidence
- O.O Your Way Around
- CPR and First Aid Tips Workshop
Morning and afternoon sessions will be separated by a lunch break. During this time a service fair will be hosted in the Franke College of Business, Mountain Line will host a demonstration and route planning session and field day events will happen on the south quad. Local Hits 106.1 will provide music and prizes during this time.
Employees can register on the Human Resources website now through 5 p.m. May 17. Those who register will have lunch provided in the Franke College of Business.
