The NAU Classified Staff Advisory Council is holding its seventh annual “Providing Warmth to the Community” clothing drive through Nov. 18 to help those in need.

The donations benefit the homeless shelter, Sunshine Rescue Mission, Hope Cottage, Sharon Manor and Catholic Charities.

Items needed are new and gently used coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, hats, pants, socks, boots and other winter weather items.

“With the economy the way it is, the community needs our help now more than ever,” said Janet Savery, administrative associate for the College of Education. “Going through our closets and donating clothes is something that all of us can do to provide some warmth and comfort to those who need it.”

Collection boxes will be located in Cline Library, University Union, Babbitt Administrative Center, The W.A. Franke College of Business and the Engineering building.
