strawberry Love and witticism will be in the air when faculty in the creative writing program perform songs and share poems, stories and humor about love in a Valentines Day-themed benefit variety show Sunday, Feb. 9.

“This will be a real variety show in the whimsical manner of the Algonquin Round Table’s wonderful nonsense performances,” said Lisa Martino, marketing specialist for the College of Arts and Letters.

The wisecracking wordplay will begin at 5 p.m. at the Firecreek Coffee Co., 22 E. Rte. 66.

Performers include English faculty Allen Woodman, Nicole Walker, Erin Stalcup, Jane Armstrong, Ann Cummins, Justin Bigos and emcee Steve Rosendale.

There is a suggested donation of $5, or $2 for students, with proceeds to benefit the High Altitude Writing Institute.
