NAU’s College of Education will host the 14th annual There’s a Reason I’m A Teacher conference for teacher candidates beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 5, in Prochnow Auditorium on the NAU campus.
Keynote speakers include Sean McComb, 2014 National Teacher of the Year, and John-David Bowman, the 2015 Arizona Teacher of the Year. McComb’s keynote address will begin at 8 a.m.
Two Ambassadors for Excellence from Flagstaff schools, Kaci Heins of Northland Preparatory Academy and Jeff Taylor of Flagstaff High School, also will be presenting.
Students participating in the professional development conference will gain valuable knowledge and inspiration to make the difference that matters for children.
Faculty from across campus and statewide that participate in the teacher preparation are invited to attend as well as interested community members.
