“Multiage Education: Needed Now More Than Ever” is the theme of this year’s annual Southwest Multiage conference from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Northern Arizona University’s College of Education.
Directed by Sandra Stone, chair of Teaching and Learning at NAU, sessions will feature topics that encourage creativity and focus on the individual child.
Conference presenters include multiage teachers from Arizona and professors from the college. Strategies will encourage critical thinking and the celebration of each individual while promoting imagination.
Conference registration is available online for $50 or $60 at the door. Registration is $10 for students with a valid NAU ID. For information, contact Emilie Rodger at (928) 523-5863 or visit the College of Education’s National Multiage Institute website.
