  • James Bowie, principal lecturer in the Department of Sociology, authored the article, “Here’s the real reason why all of the crypto logos look alike” in Fast Company. This article looks at trends in the design of logos for cryptocurrencies. 
  • Julie Baldwin, Regents Professor of health sciences and founding director of NAU’s Center for Health Equity Research, was elected to the Flinn Foundation board of directors. Baldwin specializes in community-based participatory research.  
  • Robert Schehr, professor in the Department of Criminology and the author of a new book, “Convictions Without Truth The Incompatibility of Science and Law”. The book examines the extent to which science and law coexist with one another in an institutional relationship.  
  • NAU men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams combined to lead the Big Sky Conference with 60 Winter All-Academic awards in a release by the league office on Thursday. The women’s indoor track & field team accounted for 25 of the 60 Winter All-Academic honorees, followed by the men’s indoor track & field team with 23. Women’s basketball had eight and men’s basketball had four to round out the total.
