Cornel West, professor in the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University, will visit Northern Arizona University to discuss class, nation and the future of democracy in a public lecture titled “Education as a Human Right” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium.
A speaker is invited each year in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day to foster discussion of current human rights issues. This year’s lecture is co-sponsored by several programs and student groups on campus including the Martin Springer Institute, the Black Student Union and the Student Activities Council.
