Dive into the study of human society and social relationships at the 6th Annual Social Science and Social Change Conference. Attendees will gain insight into the way human interactions and relationships transform cultural and social institutions. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 6, in the NAU DuBois Ballroom. Students, faculty and institutes are invited to register and attend.
The conference will include keynote speaker Annette McGivney, senior lecturer at NAU, introducing “Pure Land and the Healing Power of Nature.” McGivney is an award-winning environmental and wilderness writer and has authored two books: “Pure Land” and “Building Wood Fires.” With many experiences in the world of social science, McGivney will share her views as applied to social change.
The 6th Annual Social Science and Social Change Conference is sponsored by NAU’s Society of Student Sociologists.
Prior to the event, registration can be completed online. The conference is free to attend with a valid ID. Parking passes can be purchased through University Transit Services.
