ieran Suckling, executive director of Tucson’s Center for Biological Diversity, will share some of his experiences and thoughts on effective environmental work at a free public lecture next week.
The presentation, Welcome to the Homogenocene: The mass extinction of cultures and species and how to reverse the trend, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Northern Arizona University’s Cline Library Assembly Hall. Suckling will take questions from the audience following the presentation, and a casual public reception will follow.
Suckling also will be meeting with a group of graduate students and faculty members from NAU’s Landscape Conservation Initiative to conduct a workshop on the topic of the human-environment relationship and how to most effectively respond to the ecosystem changes.
