Northern Arizona University’s Track and Field team will host the Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championship this week.
The Lumberjack men and women were the preseason favorites to hoist Big Sky titles this season as they look to sweep the track and field championships.
A title this weekend would give the NAU men their third consecutive triple crown, defined as winning cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field championships in the same school year. A title this weekend for the women would serve as NAU’s first women’s outdoor championship since 2006 when the team won three consecutive beginning in 2004.
