America’s success in a global economy requires a mainstream, multi-track and multi-disciplinary approach to STEM education, according to Sheila Tobias, a Tucson-based author of numerous books on breaking students’ barriers in science and mathematics education.
Tobias will present “Mainstreaming STEM for Tomorrow’s Workforce” at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, in room 120 of Liberal Arts, bldg. 18. The public event is free and will be followed by a book signing with the author.
Tobias’s visit is part of the Provosts’ Speaker Series. For information, contact Kirsten Slaughter at (928) 523-4338.
