A creative ensemble of musicians will perform music written for the unusual combination of violin, piano, and saxophone as part of the NAU School of Music’s 2009-10 Horizons Concert Series.
A husband-and-wife team known as the Cleveland Duo and internationally renowned saxophonist James Umble will be in concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, in Ashurst Auditorium.
The trio has performed throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada at chamber music venues, festivals, universities, conservatories of music, temples, in special presentations for school children, and over the airwaves of both National Public Radio and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
The upcoming program includes music by Ravel, Bloch, Adams, Morgan, Chambers and Eychenne.
Individual concert tickets are $17.50 for adults; $12.50 for seniors (65 and older) and NAU faculty and staff; $5 for children (17 and younger); and free for NAU students with ID.
