The people, projects and promise of NAU Research will be celebrated during NAU’s Research Open House from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, in the atrium of the Applied Research and Development building.
The event will feature ways researchers from across campus can connect to services that can help them with their scholarly efforts and will include a celebration of successful NAU research and creativity.
“We’ll have representatives from our research facilities, introductions to the grant administrators who help people apply for outside funding and information about our internal funding opportunities and our workshops,” said Laura Huenneke, vice president for Research. “We hope that both new and returning members of the campus community stop by for networking.”
The open house also will include the inaugural Research and Creative Activity Awards, presented to 18 recipients at 3 p.m. by President John Haeger and Huenneke.
“The intellectual and creative accomplishments of faculty, staff and students are what makes this a university, and we want to celebrate those as we start off this year,” Huenneke said. “Northern Arizona University can take pride in the quality of scholarship and creative work, and in the talented researchers and scholars within our community.”
