The Northern Arizona University Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Awards. Every fall, the association recognizes five alumni who have demonstrated excellence in their careers, performed extraordinary community service and volunteerism or embodied and promoted the spirit of the university.
The awards honored are below.
- Dwight Patterson Alumnus of the Year: Recognizes alumni who have achieved outstanding success in their careers.
- Cliff Harkins Distinguished Citizen of the Year: Recognizes alumni who have given distinguished service to nonprofit organizations or government agencies or who have demonstrated other impressive services as a citizen.
- Jeff Ferris Volunteer of the Year: Recognizes alumni who demonstrate sustained interest and loyalty to the NAU Alumni Association and NAU.
- Joe and Marie Rolle Spirit of NAU Award: Honors alumni who truly radiate the NAU spirit.
- Recent Graduate Award: Recognizes alumni (graduate or undergraduate degrees) who have graduated in the past 10 years and achieved success in their field in a relatively short amount of time.
All nominations must be submitted by July 1 by filling out the Alumni Award Nomination form online. The awards will be announced during Homecoming celebrations in the fall.
