NAU Green Fund 2020 Student Research Grant accepting student research proposals

Green Fund Announcment

The NAU Green Fund 2020 Student Research Grant is now accepting student research proposals for projects focused on reducing NAU’s environmental impact. Faculty and staff should encourage all interested undergraduate or graduate students to apply before 5 p.m. on Oct. 25.

The Green Fund was developed to reduce NAU’s negative impact on the environment and build a culture of sustainability on campus. The Green Fund Research Grant was created during the fall 2019 term to back this mission and incentivize solution-oriented research on sustainable initiatives local to Flagstaff and NAU.

The goal of the Green Fund is to provide seed funding to research projects focused on understanding and improving NAU’s environmental impact. All applications meeting the guidelines will be considered, but the Green Fund has identified a specific need for research fields relating to energy, COVID-19 and emissions.

Additional information and detailed eligibility and requirements for students can be found in the application on the Green Fund Research Grant website. All questions and completed applications should be emailed to GreenFund@nau.edu. Funding awards will be announced Nov. 20.
