• Women’s tennis senior Chiara Tomasetti was named the ITA Mountain Regional Senior Player of the Year. This is her second consecutive year earning a postseason honor from ITA and her peak ranking of No. 44 in the NCAA Division I Women Rankings is the highest in NAU program history.
• Doctoral student Heather Mead was the first author on the article titled “Defining Critical Genes During Spherule Remodeling and Endospore Development in the Fungal Pathogen, Coccidioides posadasii” published in Evolutionary and Genomic Microbiology. The article provides the first targeted list of key genes active during endospore formation that are specific to C. posadasii, a soil-dwelling dimorphic fungi that can cause respiratory infections.
