Northern Arizona University’s football team is bringing the pigskin back to Lumberjack Stadium for its spring game in April.
After a month of preparation, the team will shed the Skydome for the outdoor venue to host the Blue-White football game at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27.
“We have high expectations for the season, and the spring game will culminate our spring preparation with an exciting group of returning players,” said Jerome Souers, head football coach. “We invite fans and alumni to join us for a fun-filled day of football.”
The event is free and gates to the stadium open at noon. Tailgating will begin at 10 a.m. in parking lot P7A just north of the stadium on Franklin Avenue.
Fanfest also makes its return, kicking off at noon at the stadium with activities for kids including face painting, the NAU bounce house and photos with Louie. Fans are invited to stay for a post-game autograph session with the football team.
The game will be televised on Fox Sports Arizona and Fox College Sports Pacific.
