On May 6, Northern Arizona University’s Lyric Theater will host an event that promises something for all in attendance.
“We are combining musical forces with the symphony and choir and are sure to perform something for everyone,” said Eric Gibson, lyric theater director. “It will be an opera extravaganza!”
The gala will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium and feature Lyric Theater soloists and ensembles, voice faculty, the NAU Shrine of the Ages Choir and the NAU Symphony Orchestra.
Gibson said the evening will focus on opera’s major hits and feature about 25 lyric opera students along with more than 100 music students in choirs and orchestras.
Tickets are $22 for adults and $6 for NAU students with an ID. Tickets can be purchased online at NAU’s Central Ticket Office website or by calling 928-523-5661. Group discounts are available.
