The Northern Arizona University Annual Nighttime Safety Walk will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. The walk will begin at SBS West (building 70), meeting in Room 200.
Students, faculty and staff will focus on three safety issues across campus; Blue Phone placement and operation, lighting safety issues and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Every year, students and staff are educated on the light spectrum as well as safety and security issues while walking at night.
The NAU Emergency Management team invites students from various clubs and organizations to volunteer to walk through campus with checklists assessing the different issues.
