The Northern Arizona University School of Music invites everyone to attend the virtual piano performances of Jeffrey Swann, NAU’s President’s Distinguished Artist in Residence.
While COVID-19 travel restrictions have prevented Swann from teaching or performing live on campus, he has continued presenting lectures on Beethoven piano sonatas and teaching lessons virtually. He will be playing piano for two online performances based in Fairbanks, Alaska.
The first performance will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 and feature solo pieces by Beethoven, Schumann and Liszt. Watch the Oct. 29 performance online.
The second will take place at 6 p.m. on Nov. 1 and feature Swannn playing Beethoven Concerto no. 4 in G Major, op. 58 with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra under director Eduard Zilberkant. Watch the Nov. 1 performance online.
Both performances will be broadcast on KFXF Channel 7 (FOX 7) in Fairbanks and livestreamed.
