Hot Topics Café spring schedule announced

NAU’s Philosophy in the Public Interest and the Compassion Project programs announced the spring 2014 schedule of events for Hot Topics Café, the public forum for Flagstaff and Sedona residents to engage in civil discussion around timely issues.

Hot Topics Cafés began on the NAU campus and has expanded to community locations including the Museum of Northern Arizona, the Sedona Public Library and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Yavapai College in Sedona.

The discussions provide opportunities for community members to discuss contentious issues in a civil way. The program is nonpartisan and does not endorse positions with respect to any of the issues discussed. Topics are chosen by a community committee that represents leaders from a variety of political constituencies and interests.

The events are free and open to the public. For information, visit the event calendar.
