Places for floats are still available for Northern Arizona University and Flagstaff community members who want to participate in the Homecoming Parade.
The annual parade starts at 11 a.m. on Oct. 28 and kicks off Saturday’s homecoming festivities. Organizations from on and off campus are encouraged to wear their blue and gold as they gear up for the big game against Sacramento State. The parade, which is presented by the Blue Key Honor Society, will include local high school bands, floats from student organizations, alumni award winners, homecoming royalty, this year’s Homecoming Dedicatee, and of course, the logging wheels pulled by the NAU Chain Gang.
All interested groups must return a completed entry form to the Blue Key Box in the ASNAU office on the second floor of the University Union by Oct. 16. Entry forms for groups on-campus, and entry forms for groups off-campus, along with other information, are available at the NAU Homecoming website.
All floats must arrive at the staging area (P16 parking lot, between the fieldhouse and Cline Library) by 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 28.
