Summer is in full swing, and what better way to escape the heat than with cool music?
Community members, families, friends and music lovers of all kinds are invited to enjoy the wide variety of admission-free performances as sessions at NAU’s Curry Summer Music Camp come to an end.
Celebrating its 68th season, the music camp aims to spark interest in children of all ages by exploring the world of music education. The more than 25,000 musicians who have attended the camp since it was founded in 1950 represent a wide range of nationalities, musical abilities and economic and social backgrounds.
The following events are held in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium and are free and open to the public:
- June 29: 7:30 p.m.—Variety Showcase
- June 30: 7:30 p.m.—Performing Arts Night
- July 1: 9, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 a.m.—Final Concert: Piano, Choir, Orchestra, Band
- July 5: 7 p.m.—Faculty & Counselor Recital
- July 6: 7 p.m.—Variety Showcase
- July 7: 7 p.m.—Camper Showcase & Jazz Concert
- July 8: 9, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 a.m.—Final Concert: Piano, Choir, Orchestra, Band
