The NAU Art Museum will open its doors to Japan with an upcoming show, Eight Contemporary Artists of Japan, opening Friday, April 11, with a reception that evening from 6-8 p.m.

Franklin Willis, associate professor of painting, is curating the show, which includes Japanese artists Shinji Imai, Yuri Okuno, Junichi Sato, Kazuko Tajima, Michiko Tsurumaki, Norihiko Seto, Sei Saito and Al Hinton.

“These artists envision the energy of their art and creative collaboration as a movement within society,” Willis said.
