Northern Arizona University will hold four commencement ceremonies May 12-13 to honor the graduating class of spring 2017. This year’s class of 5,600 students is the largest graduating class NAU has had in a decade.
All commencement ceremonies will be held at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome, which will open 90 minutes prior to each ceremony. Parking is available at multiple locations through campus, with free shuttle service to and from designated parking lots. - W. A. Franke College of Business
10 a.m. May 13

3 p.m. May 13
- College of Arts and Letters
- College of Engineering, Forestry, and Natural Sciences
NAU will award honorary doctorates to Martin Casado, an NAU alumnus and general partner of Andresseen Horowitz; Michelle Bugh Doherty, the 2017 Arizona Educational Foundation Teacher of the Year; LuAnn Leonard, the first Native American member of the Arizona Board of Regents and an NAU alumna; and Claudio Sanchez, education correspondent for National Public Radio and an alumnus of NAU.
