President Rita Cheng and American Campus Communities invites the campus and community to join NAU and community leaders for the groundbreaking of a new housing complex on the Flagstaff campus.

A brief program will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the International Pavilion, building 50A. View a campus map here.

Officials will turn the dirt for the groundbreaking at 1:15 p.m. at the site of the new building, located on Runke Drive between Knoles Drive and San Francisco Street. A reception will follow at the International Pavilion.

The building will be an expansion of the Hilltop Townhomes featuring six buildings and its own four-story parking structure with more than 700 spaces. NAU’s latest partnership with American Campus Communities will include housing for approximately 620 sophomores, juniors and seniors, increasing on-campus housing to more than 9,700 residents.

The building is scheduled to be completed fall 2017.
